Physician Billing Information

Billing & Payment

Mount Nittany Health accepts Visa, Discover and Mastercard payments by phone or online. You will receive by mail a copy of your itemized bill for hospital charges; this document is also sent to your insurance company.

If a patient charge is shown, you are requested to pay that amount within 30 days. In addition, you may be required to pay any balance that is not covered by your insurance.

Please let us know if your address, employment, insurance and/or dependent status has changed.


Physician Billing Information

Please note that, in addition to hospital charges, you may also receive bills from physicians who were involved in your care. These charges are separate from the hospital charges. Please contact the physicians directly with any questions pertaining to their bills and to arrange payment with them.

Radiology

If you had an X-ray, MRI, CT scan, ultrasound, or other test performed in the radiology department, you will receive a bill from the radiologist who interpreted the test and provided a report to your physician. Please contact:

Lab work

Certain laboratory tests or the examination of tissue specimens from surgery require the specialized services of a pathologist to provide information to your physician. You may receive a bill from:

Radiation treatments

Heart/lung studies

Several physicians provide interpretation of cardiac and pulmonary studies, such as EKGs, echocardiograms, Holter monitors and pulmonary function tests. You may receive a bill for these services from one of the following:

Sleep studies

When you have a sleep study done at Sieg Neuroscience Center, you will receive a bill from Mount Nittany Medical Center for the sleep study test and a bill from Mount Nittany Physician Group for the interpretation of the test.
