  • No scheduling or appointment is required. Simply click, Start ER virtual visit.
  • You will need a smartphone, tablet or computer with a camera and high speed internet connection.
  • Unless otherwise instructed by your provider, you should dress just as you would for an office visit.
  • This service is available to new and established patients.
  • A virtual check-in is a short telephone call with your provider. As a telehealth visit, an ER virtual visit is an office visit conducted remotely through the use of an internet-connected device that has camera and audio capabilities on both the provider and the patient’s side.
  • Please check with your health insurance provider on cost and coverage of a telehealth visit with Mount Nittany Medical Center’s Emergency Department. Note: Patients who complete a telehealth visit and are referred to our emergency department as a result of that telehealth visit will not be charged for the telehealth visit if they receive care at our emergency department.
  • Virtual ER visits are billed the same way an in-office visit would be billed. You will want to check with your specific health insurance plan for more information.
