Mount Nittany Health is pleased to announce that Jennifer Taylor, PA-C, has joined Mount Nittany Physician Group hospitalist program.
“I’m thrilled to join the Mount Nittany Health team,” says Taylor. “I was especially drawn to this health system that offers a large range of specialty and subspecialty services and provides excellent patient care while still having that close-knit community feel.”
Taylor earned both her bachelor’s degree in health science and Master of Physician Assistant Science from Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania. She was previously employed by Tyrone Regional Health Network.
Taylor shares that as someone with a great passion for medicine, she is always driven to do her best to get to the root of medical issues for her patients. She also enjoys educating patients on their health.
“One of the most important things that we can do as healthcare providers is to engage with our patients and make sure that they understand the very core of their health issue and then work together to find the best possible solution,” she says. “In addition to discussing a diagnosis and treatment plan, we must also explain why we’re ‘doing what we’re doing.’ There’s nothing like when a patient has that ‘aha’ moment and you know that you’re on the same page.”
Outside of the office, Taylor enjoys spending time with her family. She and husband of 13 years, Jordan, have four children, Hayden, 11; Bowen, 9; Elias, 5; and Louis, 1. The Taylors’ three oldest children are active in sports and the family happily spends much of their time cheering at basketball, wrestling, baseball, softball and t-ball events. To learn more about Mount Nittany Physician Group’s hospitalist program at Mount Nittany Medical Center, visit mountnittany.org/hospitalist.
