Mount Nittany Health is pleased to announce the addition of Deborah DeMuro, CRNP, to Mount Nittany Physician Group Urology.
“Being able to interact with patients, evaluate their needs and educate them about their healthcare has been a major inspiration to me as a provider. Helping the patient to manage their issues is very rewarding,” says DeMuro. “I believe
that patients should be involved in their care as much as possible. That’s what makes the education component of each interaction so important.”
DeMuro earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing, where she graduated on the dean’s list. She completed the OB/Nurse Practitioner program at the Center for Continuing Education at University of
Pennsylvania School of Nursing in Philadelphia, and earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Drexel University in Philadelphia.
She is a member of the Pennsylvania Coalition of Nurse Practitioners. DeMuro was most recently employed at Penn Highland’s Life’s Journey in Clearfield, Pennsylvania.

rural areas where patients might otherwise be unable to access specialty care,” she shares. “Mount Nittany’s mission to put patients first appealed to me.”
Outside of the office, DeMuro enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. She also enjoys swimming and golf in her spare time.
