Mount Nittany Health is pleased to announce the addition of Karen Brown, MD, to Mount Nittany Physician Group Internal Medicine at its Mount Nittany Health – Park Avenue location.
“As a physician, it’s my job and my privilege to help my patients live better, healthier lives,” says Dr. Brown.
Dr. Brown earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from The Pennsylvania State University, her Master of Science in Biology from Bloomsburg University in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, and her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia.
She completed her family medicine residency training at Bryn Mawr Hospital in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Brown is board certified in family medicine, as well, as hospice and palliative medicine. She most recently served as an assistant medical director of hospice and palliative care in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
“I look forward to returning to family medicine and forming long-term, established relationships with patients and their families, says Dr. Brown. “I hope to be able to use my skills and experience in both family medicine and palliative care
to improve the quality of life for my patients at all stages of their lives.”
Outside of the office, Dr. Brown enjoys cooking and reading historical fiction.
