Mount Nittany Health is pleased to announce the Mount Nittany Physician Group Cardiology – Vein & Vascular Clinic, offering comprehensive evaluation of vascular conditions including peripheral arterial disease (PAD), renal arterial disease and chronic venous insufficiency.

“We are very excited to be offering expanded care for a range of vascular conditions,” says Christopher Jones, MD, Mount Nittany Physician Group Cardiology. “Our patients will benefit from having increased local access to minimally invasive treatments and better coordinated heart and vascular care.”

For the comfort and convenience of patients, a number of therapies and procedures are now offered in the Mount Nittany Physician Group Cardiology office at the Mount Nittany Health – Park Avenue location. Treatments include those for venous insufficiency such as VenaSeal™ adhesive ablation, thermal ablation and sclerotherapy.

More advanced services, such as angioplasty, atherectomy and stenting for treatment of arterial disease, are performed at Mount Nittany Medical Center’s cardiovascular pavilion, which opened in September 2019.

In addition to providing the most advanced treatments for vascular conditions, the team also emphasizes lifestyle modification to prevent progression of vascular disease and improve overall health.
